Introduction
The Placement Cell plays a crucial role in locating job opportunities for Under Graduates and Post Graduates passing out from the college by keeping in touch with reputed firms and industrial establishments. The Placement Cell operates round the year to facilitate contacts between companies and graduates. The number of students placed through the campus interviews is continuously rising. On invitation, many reputed industries visit the institute to conduct interviews.
We have been successful in maintaining our high placement statistics over the years and the fact that our students bear the recession blues with record breaking placements itself is a testimony to our quality. Our ingenious alumni have set new standards in the corporate world through their estimable contributions and it is my firm conviction that we will continue that legacy in the years to come.
The Placement Cell organizes career guidance programmes for all the students starting from first year. The cell arranges training programmes like Mock Interviews, Group Discussions, Communication Skills Workshop etc and it also organizes Public Sector Exam Training for students who are interested to join Government Sectors. It also invites HR Managers from different industries to conduct training programmes for final year students.Ajay Prakashan,Avish Educom, TISS has accredited our college from which they are visiting our college for conducting Placement Training programmes and Campus Interviews.
Objectives
The primary objective of the T&P Cell is ensuring successful training and placement of the students and to facilitate the students to establish themselves in the professional legal industry. The Cell will try to achieve the following objectives
Industry Internship/visit Programs:-The Training and Placement Cell will focus on the integral training and development of the students to match global standards, the cell will also emphasis on facilitating the students with every opportunity possible to achieve their career goals through various internship schemes and placements to successful students.
The process followed by the cell is as follows:
Step 1:
The student body along with the Placement Officer contact Corporate Houses/Law firms/company/Institutions etc seeking internship/educational-field Trip workshop and training opportunities for the students.
Step 2:
Depending on the response regarding availability of slots for internship, the students are informed of the requirement and criteria set by the recruiter.
Results are vetted. Resumes are gathered and sent to the recruiter for their perusal.
Step 4:
Resumes are thoroughly scrutinized by the recruiters after which they inform their decision on recruitment to the T &P Cell.

The training mainly focuses on personality development, building professional relationships, improving communication skills, and other areas that are important for getting placed in any reputed company. Self Evaluation:-Every student should allocate some time for self-assessment and reflection. You should determine their strengths, weaknesses, and their achievements. Jot down the list of your favorite and unfavorite things and also take a few career assessment tests to discover your personality and have clarity on the type of jobs you are looking for. Once you are familiar with your strengths, weaknesses, interests, and accomplishments, you are required to do research work in finding the job, career scope, and potential employer. Use all the required tools and contacts to get a perfect job in the best company.Build a Perfect Resume
Academic:-Qualification/Internships/Certifications/Extracurricular Activities/Interest. In order to prepare a perfect resume, you should google and conduct research on the articles and templates related to the resume. Discover the format, font, tips, etc to be followed while preparing a resume. You should build the resume as per the requirements of the industry and update it regularly based on the feedback of the mentor, faculty, etc.Build a Firm Grip on the Aptitude Skills Test: The Aptitude Skill Test is one of the important rounds of campus placement. If you fail to clear this round, then you will not be allowed to participate in the further rounds of the selection process. Therefore, it is advised to prepare the right strategy for this round. It is not possible to master the aptitude section 2-3 weeks before the test. You are required to devote at least 1-1.5 months to build a strong grip on the section. Practice more and more from the right books to improve the speed and accuracy of solving questions.
Prepare for Group Discussion
Round: Once you have qualified for the aptitude skill test, you will be called to appear for the Group Discussion round. It may take place on the same day or few days after the aptitude skill test depending on the requirement of the company. Therefore, you should be mentally prepared for this round as it will assess your Verbal Communication, Leadership Skills, Listening Skills, Knowledge & Ideas, etc. In this round, each group of students is allotted a topic for the discussion, and each of them has to express their thoughts in the appropriate manner. In order to prepare for the Group Discussion Round, you should search important topics on the internet and follow newspaper and news channels regularly to support your answers in the GD Round with actual facts and awareness.Plan the right strategy for the Interview Round:
You can take the help of the internet to find the interview questions of the specific company. As there are many online portals like Glassdoor, indeed in which candidates post interview-related questions and their overall interview experience with the specific company. Collect and note down the list of the interview questions. Then, prepare answers for common interview questions like About Yourself, Career Interest, Strength/Weaknesses, skills, etc. And also, be ready for the questions of your domains. Therefore, make sure you revise all the important concepts related to your domain. Ask the feedback on your answers from seniors with industry experience and modify/edit the answers if their feedback is logical.
Conduct Proper Research Work on the Companies: You should conduct proper research work on the companies before applying for the post and while attending the recruitment process because questions like Why Us, or What do you know about our company, etc are asked in the interview round. You can check the company’s website to gain information about their history, culture, locations, products/services, and the latest news of the past 6 months. Also, understand the job descriptions carefully and if there is any confusion related to it, surf the internet or take help from an experienced person.
